UFL-SL Expands Community Outreach to Slums and Drug Hotspots in Freetown and Beyond

As part of its commitment to protecting vulnerable youths, UFL-SL has expanded its field outreach activities to additional high-risk communities across Freetown and neighboring districts. Teams of volunteers, coaches, counselors, and youth mobilizers are visiting communities heavily affected by kush addiction, gang violence, and school dropout rates to identify at-risk youths and connect them with life-changing opportunities.

The outreach activities include motivational talks, sports demonstrations, talent identification, mentorship, and counseling sessions. UFL-SL is also collecting community-level data to better understand the social and economic challenges affecting young people. The organization is calling upon local businesses, international donors, and humanitarian partners to join the fight against drug abuse and youth violence in Sierra Leone.
